SDU provides basketball events that exposes and teaches American style Basketball and English language to China’s Youths and Adults. We offer the opportunity for people to learn useful, conversational English, play street ball, learn basketball training skills/game strategy, have fun, participate as a player or a spectator in tournaments, and see what's new and cool in America.

All SDU events are coached or managed by US basketball players/coaches who fly to China and participate in the events. This is your chance to learn and practice your English and meet, play, and compete with American Basketball players!

SDU has held events in Beijing, Harbin, and ChengDu. We are expanding to cities like Shanghai and Guangzho. Please check our registration webpage often to find the city closest to you.

Events are held in the winter, usually during the end of January/beginning of February and in the summer. Streetball tournament and camp times vary so please check our registration webpage often. SDU runs tournaments, usually held over weekends. All SDU students and the general public are welcome to attend. SDU tournaments run on single elimination and typically begin on Saturday with the final game on Sunday afternoon. Everyone is encouraged to organize their own team and our US coaches will be available to play on the SDU student teams. Only one coach per team is allowed. SlamDunk USA also offers morning and afternoon Street Ball. Street Ball consists of short basketball games played on outdoor courts. This is a good place for students to practice their English, learn trick moves and plays, and practice basketball skills learned in their camp sessions but in game situations. All games will be played with Street Ball rules. Our US basketball coaches will play and speak with the students, referee where needed, and provide skill enhancement tips. Camps for beginner and intermediate students run for 2 weeks in length for 3 ½ hours. Advance students may sign up for camps that run 1 week or 2 weeks in length. 1 week camps will be more intense but last for 2 hours a day. In each city, students will have a choice of attending morning or afternoon/evening camp sessions. Camps are held on indoor and outdoor basketball courts. Everyone, adults and youth, is welcome to join our SDU Tournaments, SDU Street Ball, or SDU camps. Any basketball enthusiast 13 years or older can register for our SDU events. Register now!
